Return deadline, in full
Statutory: 2 May of the year after the income year (Skatteförfarandelagen 32 kap. 1 §); moved to the next weekday if it falls on a weekend/holiday (for the 2025 return the date was 4 May 2026; for income year 2026, 2 May 2027 is a Sunday, so expected 3 May 2027). Extensions possible on application.Payment deadline, in full
Residual tax (kvarskatt) is due on the date in the final tax assessment notice (slutskattebesked), roughly 90 days after the decision (e.g. notice in August 2026 -> due 12 November 2026; December -> 12 March 2027). To avoid interest: cost interest runs on residual tax above SEK 30,000 from about 13 February of the filing year and on smaller amounts from early May, so a voluntary additional payment (fyllnadsinbetalning) before those dates avoids it.
Where to file and pay
Returns and payments go through the tax authority. Its own website: Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) — official website.
Allocaria links to the authority's site and files or pays nothing for you.
