Terms of Use
Terms of Use - Allocaria
1. Who we are and what you agree to
Allocaria ("Allocaria", "we", "us") is a web service run by an individual based in the European Union. You can reach us at info@allocaria.com.
By ticking the box when you create an account, or by accepting these terms in the app, you accept these Terms of Use and the Privacy Notice. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. An early-stage, free service
Allocaria is an early-stage service and is free of charge today. We may change, limit, reset or stop any part of it, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every figure is complete or correct. You can export your data at any time in your account settings. If we introduce paid plans, nothing will be charged without a separate agreement that you accept first.
3. What the service is - and is not
Allocaria is an information and decision-support tool. It shows ratings of listed companies, market indicators, portfolio analytics, tax information (for a listed share you hold, the date from which a gain can be tax-free under the general rule of the tax residence you select), and illustrative scenarios (for example how a portfolio could split across asset classes, regions and sectors for a risk level you select). Part of this is calculated from the holdings and settings you enter (tax residence, risk level, goals).
Allocaria does not: place, route or execute orders; hold, move or have access to your money, securities or broker account; ask for your broker login or API keys; manage your portfolio; or receive commissions from brokers or issuers. Allocaria is not an investment firm and provides no investment advice, no portfolio management and no other regulated investment service. Its personal plans do not name a specific security for you to buy, sell, hold or switch into: they show asset classes, regions and sectors, with the share of your amount for each.
On the public pages the company ratings and rankings, including the Allocaria Score, are the same for every visitor and are calculated from market and company data only. The public market pages also show an illustrative allocation across four regions and eleven sectors, with a model weight for each; behind each region or sector the model uses an exchange-traded fund as a market proxy (two for Asia-Pacific); the pages do not print the funds' names, but the breakdown of the emerging-markets region links its fund's factsheet as the source of its figures. This describes a model allocation as market information and is not a recommendation to you.
The Allocaria Score is the same number when you are signed in as on the public pages: it does not use the holdings you entered. It blends four fixed-weight components: Valuation vs history, Quality, Quality composite and Analysts. The Analysts component uses third-party analyst data and is switched off while we hold no licence to display that data. A component without data is left out and the others are re-weighted. The methodology page lists the components and their weights. "Portfolio fit" is no longer part of the score: it is shown apart, on a stock's own page, as a fact about your own holdings (how the stock's sector and region, the United States or elsewhere, compare with the mix of your own holdings), and it is information, not a recommendation to you. Allocaria's own models produce the ratings, scores, fair-value estimates and example allocations. The operator holds no positions in the securities the service rates and receives no payment from any issuer or broker to influence a rating; if that changes we will say so on the methodology page.
The split calculator only divides an amount you type between stocks you picked yourself, equally or by percentages you type. It is arithmetic on your own inputs, not a recommendation: Allocaria picks no stocks and no amounts for it, nothing is sent to a broker, and any trade is yours to place. The list you build stays in your browser, as the Privacy Notice explains.
Nothing in the service is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell anything, or a recommendation personal to you. Ratings and scores are ranks derived from the methods described on our methodology page; they are not probabilities, forecasts or price targets. The fair-value gap (shown as "Δ to fair value") is an estimate of how a price compares with a modelled fair value; it is not a price target or a forecast of where the price will go. Past performance and back-tests do not guarantee future results. Every investment decision, and every order placed with your broker, is yours alone.
4. Tax information
Allocaria shows tax information, not tax figures: for a listed share you hold, the date from which a gain can be tax-free under the general rule of the tax residence you select (for example after a holding period), and how many days are left. It calculates no tax amount, prepares no tax return and is not tax advice. The rules we describe are general information from public sources; they differ by country, change, and may depend on conditions beyond the holding period. For a residence we do not cover ("Other") nothing is shown. Check anything you rely on or file with the tax authority or a qualified tax professional in your country.
5. AI features
The AI assistant and the AI import feature use an external language-model provider (currently Google, Gemini API), which the app names before anything is sent. Before the assistant sends anything we tell you that you are talking to an AI and ask for your agreement, which you can withdraw at any time from the assistant panel; AI import asks for your explicit consent each time. When you use these features, your questions and the portfolio information needed to answer them - and, for AI import, the text, screenshots or files you provide - are sent to that provider and processed there. The assistant's own portfolio tools pass tickers, weights, sectors and signals rather than money amounts; anything you type, and every file you upload for AI import, is sent as it is.
What the provider may do with the content depends on the plan under which we use it, and the consent window tells you which plan applies before anything is sent. On the provider's paid plan its terms say that it does not use the content to improve its products, that a data processing addendum applies, and that it keeps prompts and responses for a limited period only to detect and prevent abuse. On its free plan its terms allow it to use the content to improve its products and to let human reviewers read it. Do not enter anything you do not want to share, or personal data of other people.
AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. It is not advice. Assistant answers are labelled as AI-generated.
6. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. Allocaria is not offered to residents of Russia and Belarus, and you may not use it there. The company ratings, the screener, the market pages and paid plans are also not offered in Australia, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, New Zealand, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and Vietnam, and are not shown to visitors who connect from there; this is a choice about where we offer them, not a judgement about those countries. You may use the service only if that is lawful where you live, and not where doing so would breach sanctions or export-control rules that apply to you. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.
7. Your account
Give accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and tell us promptly at info@allocaria.com if you think your account was compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account. We recommend turning on two-factor sign-in.
8. Your data
We describe what we collect, why, who receives it and how long we keep it in the Privacy Notice. You can export your data and delete your account in your settings. After you delete your account you can no longer sign in; the remaining data is erased automatically after 30 days, except records we may keep as stated in the Privacy Notice. You keep ownership of the data you upload and you allow us to process it to provide the service to you.
9. Acceptable use
Do not: scrape or systematically extract data from the service; resell, redistribute or sublicense the service's content, in particular third-party market data; create accounts by automated means; try to bypass access or rate limits or to reverse-engineer the service; upload unlawful content or data of other people that you have no right to use; use the service for unlawful purposes; or disrupt it.
The Share feature lets you publish a snapshot of your own portfolio at a private link and post that link; this is allowed, although these terms otherwise forbid redistributing the service's content. You are responsible for what you post. Do not present a snapshot as advice or as a recommendation, and do not use it to promote a security. We may switch off a link that breaches these terms.
10. Third-party data and intellectual property
Market and company data come from third-party vendors, which are named in the Trust Center (market data sources); they own that data and you may not redistribute it. Data from the FRED® API of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is subject to the FRED API Terms of Use (https://fred.stlouisfed.org/docs/api/terms_of_use.html), and by using Allocaria you agree to be bound by them as far as they apply to that data; this product uses the FRED® API but is not endorsed or certified by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Some crypto-asset market data comes from CoinGecko (Powered by CoinGecko); the CoinGecko API and its data are CoinGecko's property, and CoinGecko disclaims any liability for them. Allocaria and its licensors own the service, its software, design, rating methodology and compiled content. You get a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own non-commercial purposes.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we exclude warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for investment, trading or tax losses arising from decisions you take. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, in particular for intent or gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or your statutory consumer rights.
12. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if your use puts the service or other users at risk, if the law requires it, or if we stop the service. Where reasonably possible we will tell you beforehand and give you time to export your data.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. A new version is published on this page with its version number and the date from which it applies, and it takes effect on that date. A person who has never agreed to these terms is asked to accept them in a window before continuing; we record the version a person accepted. If you do not agree with a new version, you can export your data and delete your account.
14. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by the law of the European Union member state in which the operator is based, without its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence, and your right to bring a claim in its courts, are not affected. If you have a complaint, write to info@allocaria.com first; we will reply within 30 days and try to resolve it.
15. General
If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force. These terms and the Privacy Notice are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. English is the binding version; translations of the interface are for convenience.
