Importing your Revolut trading history into a portfolio tracker
Revolut can export the statement of its investing account as a CSV file. This guide explains which statement to use, which columns Allocaria reads, how the currency is taken from the amounts, and which rows, such as splits and transfers of shares, are listed instead of being turned into trades.

Which statement to export
Use the statement of the investing (stocks) account, not the statement of the main current account. It can be saved as a CSV file from the app; the menu names can change. Choose the longest period offered, and bring several files in one after another if the history has to be split.
What the file looks like
The columns used are Date, Ticker, Type, Quantity, Price per share, Total Amount and Currency. Some exports also carry an FX Rate column; it is not required. Amounts are written with a currency symbol, such as a dollar or euro sign, and that symbol is read as the currency. Dates are in the ISO style with a trailing Z.
What is read as a trade
A row whose Type starts with a purchase or a sale word, followed by the order type, becomes a proposed trade.
Dividends, cash top-ups, withdrawals, custody fees and interest are counted and reported as not read.
A stock split, or a transfer of shares from another account, moves shares without a plain price. It is listed with a reason instead of being turned into a trade.
Fees are not read: the table shows a fee of 0 for the person to compare with the statement.
Checking the table before saving
What is read from a file is a proposal, not a record. The rows appear in a table, and nothing is added to the portfolio until the person has looked at them and confirmed.
Compare the number of trades with your Revolut history, check a few rows against the statement and look at the list of rows that were not read. A position that had a split or a transfer of shares in needs a closer look, because those rows are not turned into trades.
Common questions
No. Only the exported file is read. No password, login or key is asked for, and nothing is placed or changed at the broker.
No. The reader is written for the statement of the investing account, with its ticker, quantity and price per share columns. The statement of the main account holds card and transfer rows, not trades.
Brokers change their exports from time to time, and the reader follows the layout of Revolut files as published and as public samples show it. A file that does not match is either refused with a plain reason or shown with the missing pieces empty, never guessed. A screenshot, a pasted list or the form still work.
